A managing director with Invotex Group, Neil Gilmour has more than 30 years experience advising owners, managers and creditors of financially troubled businesses. He provides expert advice to clients in out-of-court workouts and Chapter 11 reorganizations. A seasoned executive advisor, he leads engagements in the areas of financial planning and management, operations strategy development, corporate bankruptcy and debt refinancing. Mr. Gilmour has served as the financial advisor for numerous unsecured creditors committees, providing strategic advice, financial analysis and forensic investigations. His services to committees often results in his appointment as trustee to manage the recovery of assets and distribution of funds to creditors. Representative assignments include serving as president and CRO of a liquidating telecommunication company, advising the unsecured creditors’s committee of a major chain of quick oil change stores, turning around a severely distressed government contractor, performing forensic inquiries into complex secured debt transactions aggregating over one billion dollars, searching for potential claims against directors and officers on an international telecommunications carrier, providing analytical support for counsel in complex claim litigation in the computer distribution channel, critiquing debtor-prepared business plans, preparing liquidation analyses, and a broad range of other assignments. He also advises lenders and other creditors on bankruptcy and turnaround matters.
